The following code of conduct has been developed with the clubs aims in mind. It is applicable to all members and guests of RBAV on show days, RBAV social media pages and at any club events or meetings that are held by RBAV.
> I shall ensure that all rabbits under my care are correctly housed, watered and fed at all times and that they receive proper health treatment if required
> I shall breed with the intent to improve the quality of my exhibits and not specifically for the pet market
> I shall not sell a kit under the age of 10 weeks of age.
> I shall not knowingly advertise or misrepresent my stock in anyway including breed, pedigrees and standards.
> I shall endeavour that all rabbits that are brought to a show are in the best of health and are free of disease, parasites and are clean.
> I will notify the club secretary of any outbreak of Calici or Myxomatosis on my property as soon as possible, including if I have any multiple deaths of bunnies within a period of 2-7 days.
> Members and their rabbits that have had a Calici outbreak within their stud are NOT to attend any club activities until after a 4 month quarantine period from their last death.
> Members and their rabbits that have had a Myxo outbreak within their stud are NOT to attend any club activities until after a 3 month quarantine period from their last death.
> At no time will I interfere with another rabbit at a show unless authorised to do so.
> At no time is another member or guest to interfere with another exhibitors/persons rabbit unless they are directed to do so by the owner.
> I will endeavour to make sure my rabbits have water during the course of the show day.
> Members and guests of RBAV are to provide a relaxed and friendly environment for all rabbit enthusiasts to enjoy and show their rabbits
> Members and guests of RBAV are to always conduct themselves in an appropriate fashion, displaying good manners and respect towards others. They are required to behave responsibly, harmoniously and be mindful of other individual’s feelings and thoughts at all times.
> Abusive or aggressive behavior towards anyone at a show, meeting or any form of social media will not be tolerated under any circumstances and at all times fellow members and guests safety will be paramount.
> Harassment, bullying or discrimination of any type is NOT tolerated and is unlawful.This applies to any form of social media, show events or meetings that are associated with the RBAV. Harassment can be defined as causing distress, anxiety or fear of physical harm or verbal threat, offensive statements or verbal abuse, and exclusion or isolation.
> Any complaint must be in writing with reasonable evidence if possible. A $10 administration fee is also applicable with submission.
> The committee will address each complaint and/or incident on a case by case basis.
> The RBAV Committee reserves the right to update the code of conduct as they see fit within the period of the year.
